We are a small, family-owned business that believes in collaborating with other local businesses that share the same business philosophy and dedication to quality that we do. We work with so many passionate creators that all have incredible stories, so we wanted to share some of the stories with our customers. Or as we like to say, “Simple Things for Special Days”.
It’s All About Bees
A local honey, beeswax specialties, and gift shop located in Ralston Nebraska. Truly a family business, three generations now carry on the torch for a family legacy in bee keeping. Ted and Wally’s partners with It’s All About Bees for their high quality and locally produced honey, as well as their bee pollen, honeycomb, and apple rings.
Miller Dohrmann Farm
Jen and Kevin grew up on Iowa farms, and after spending many years pursuing careers in other fields, they have returned to their roots and passion for farming. Miller Dohrmann Farm specializes in free range chicken and duck eggs, honey bees for honey and Honey comb, and Walnut wood and wood crafts. They also raise small grains like wheat, oats and barley, alfalfa hay and oats for straw, as well as heritage corn and produce value added products like grits and hominy. We get a lot of our sweet corn from them to make flavors like our Sweet Corn Crème Brûlée and Roasted Street Corn. We also source apples from them for creating apple butter that we then incorporate into ice cream flavors.
Grand Patisserie
Grand Patisserie specializes in fine French patisseries and mille-feuilles. Zied, the owner and head pastry chef crafts indulgent cakes, croissants, macarons, baklava, fruit tarts, and so much more from the freshest of ingredients. We use their ladyfingers in our tiramisu ice cream, their almond tuiles for our ice cream “tacos”, their Algerian-style baklava”breeka”, and many other items in our ice cream flavors.
Benson Bounty
Michelle and Mark Brannen and have owned and operated Benson Bounty since 2015. They have a super cool urban farm located right in the middle of the city in the Benson neighborhood where they grow a wide variety of produce, as well as pollinators. We source a wide variety of goods from them including elderberries, mint, mulberries, orange balm, and tomato jam.
Black Bottom Biscotti
Black Bottom Biscotti is a delightful bakery based in Omaha, NE that makes high-quality biscotti using the freshest ingredients. In addition to their amazing biscotti, we also source a long list of delicious goods from them, including cookies, pies, shortcakes, bread pudding, corn bread, coffee cake, zucchini bread, candied orange peels…all of which are simply amazing.
Honey Creek Creamery
Located in the beautiful rolling Loess hills of Iowa, Honey Creek Creamery crafts award-winning chèvre and goats’ milk gelato using only all natural ingredients. They are intimately involved in every step of the process and grow their own organic alfalfa to ensure their goats are healthy and happy. They also use their own farmstead milk in all of their products. Each component is savored, loved and enhanced.
Dutch Girl Creamery
ShadowBrook Farm’s Dutch Girl Creamery has been producing grade A goat milk since 2006, however their other organic farming operations date back to 1996. They produce hand-crafted artisan goat cheese in their 'on farm' cheese making plant. Their farm is committed to sustainable farming practices and are devoted to being good stewards of the land.
Sweet Magnolia’s Bake Shop
Sweet Magnolias Bake Shop is a boutique bakery specializing in perfectly crafted, melt-in-your-mouth confections. Each recipe is expertly developed to both inspire the palate and evoke a sense of delicious nostalgia - to strike a perfect balance between imaginative and timeless.
The Omaha Bakery
The Omaha Bakery has evolved over the years and is now a full-service bakery, deli, and tasting experience for any occasion with multiple locations in Omaha. Ted and Wally’s collaborates with The Omaha Bakery for amazing cheesecakes, bars, donuts, and cookies. They also make keto-freindly goods that we use for our keto ice cream flavors.
FarmTable Procurement and Delivery
FarmTable is a local food hub that makes it possible for farmers to work together to meet the growing demand for local, sustainable food in the Omaha and Des Moines metro areas. Their marketplace brings fresh, healthy, locally grown and produced food to the buyer in a cost-effective manner on a weekly basis. Ted and Wally’s sources a variety of goods from them including maple syrup, butter, pumpkins, mint, cream, cheese, berries of all varieties…it’s a pretty long list! Sometimes they surprise us with fresh goods that lead to new ice cream flavors, like Red Kuri Mango or Fresh Flower Petal Custard.
Sweet Minou
This award-winning tiny chocolate factory in Lincoln, NE is know internationally for their delicious chocolate bars that Ted and Wally’s uses in their mix-ins. We love the care, passion, and dedication they use for their whole process, from sourcing beans to final production.
